Dr. Andrea Gómez-Zavaglia, who is part of this project along with another group of CIDCA members, was present at the last meeting of the year of the NeoGiANT H2020 Project, developed in the city of Ghent - Belgium on November 23 and 24-2022, with another 60 participants.
This project funded by the Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Program of the European Union has as its main objective the development and validation of innovative natural formulations with antimicrobial and antioxidant properties from the recovery of white grape pomace, to be used in bovine production, swine, poultry and fish in the areas of feeding, health and reproduction, with the aim of reducing the dependence on the use of antibiotics in animal / aquaculture production. This strategy should contribute significantly to the fight against antimicrobial resistance (AMR) derived from animal production on farms, by providing an economically viable alternative to the routine use of antibiotics.
